1 March 2010-- Hitachi Power Systems America Ltd. was awarded a blanket contract to supply selective catalytic reduction (SCR) DeNOx catalysts for up to eight American Electric Power (AEP)’s SCR systems. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The systems will be delivered between 2012 and 2014. The contract is similar to an existing deal between Hitachi and AEP, which runs through 2011.
Hitachi will design, build and supply the catalysts. The catalysts are designed to reduce nitrogen oxides (NOX), sulfur dioxide (SO2) and oxidize mercury.
