UAE's DEWA receives 14 bids for Hassyan plant, consultant to be finalized in May (Mar 10, 2010)

UAE's Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has received 14 bids out of the 42 firms that have sought the tender documents for the 1500 MW Hassyan IPP project, the Emirate's first power project involving private investment.

GDF-led group preferred bidder for 1730 MW gas fired plant in Saudi Arabia (Mar 5, 2010)

French power and gas utility GDF Suez and the Saudi Aljomaih Group were appointed preferred bidder for Ryadh PP11, a greenfield gas fired independent power project with a capacity of 1730 MW, situated approximately 125km west of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
